Labels are overrated
This may be the most honest ad you ever read on Craigslist.
I'm over dating "types" and boxes. I'm looking for someone who can deal with the fact that I'm a person with a wide variety of interests. I'm tired of dating cool Austin guys who are suddenly thrown off when I make a nerdy joke or geeky dudes who have a heart attack when I suggest we go outside when the sun is out.
I'm open-minded. I have no requirements for you except these: not older than 35, not a current or ex-convict, and sharing more than one of my interests.
Instead, here's a list of things about me:
1. I'm 5'7" and in shape. My eyes are blue, and my hair is naturally brown but I tend to dye it red.
2. The past couple years I've been very interested in fitness and divorced housewives ready sex encounters free fuck healthy eating. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan, but I make 90% of my food myself and love to cook. I just believe in eating fresh, sustainable foods, preferably from local farmers. I go to the gym 5 days a week and enjoy canoeing, kayaking, tubing, swimming, and fishing.
3. I love living in Austin, and I enjoy going out, drinking, and taking in some live music on a regular basis, but I was raised in the hill country and I grew up in a very traditional country household. In 5 or 10 years, I don't want to be living in the city anymore. I want somewhere with more than an acre to it, somewhere I can have a vegetable garden and maybe raise some chickens in my off time.
4. I'm a fiscal conservative but very socially liberal, which takes precedent for me because I think human rights are much more important than tax breaks. My ideal date doesn't have to agree with me completely on this stuff, but if you're a homophobe we're going to have a big problem.
5. I'm a huge nerd sometimes. I'm very academic. I'm getting ready to start graduate school next month in Criminal Justice with a focus on cyber crime and crime analysis. I've also spent a lot of time in internet culture. I used to play a lot of video games. I read a lot, mostly fantasy when I'm reading fiction, and I enjoy comic books on occasion.
6. I love animals, even ones like snakes and spiders, and I like kids. I'm really good with children, but I don't want to have any. I'm open to adoption and to dating people who have children already, but I don't want to have any of my own and that's never going to change. If this is super important to you already, you might want to skip me because it'll be an issue eventually.
I'm sane, and I'm honest. I'm no-drama and low-maintenance. I also don't have a ton of free time - I work full-time and soon I'll be in graduate school 3 nights a week as well - so you need to be cool with the fact that you'll probably only see me once a week most of the time, and some weeks I may be too busy to hang out at all. If you actually read this whole stupid novel, put "it's complicated" in the subject of your email so I know you're paying attention.
Your picture gets mine, of course. :) Have a nice weekend!
