Is it really possible for men and women to be just friends? I am a divorced 40 y/o male with amazing children and a great job. I am not in a position to start a long term realationship at this point. I think we have a few here with library science degrees. What would be a good way to organize a small ( book or so) library for an after school enrichment program for college bound but disadvantaged high school students? The library is mostly science fiction/fantasy novels with reading levels from 4th-5th grade up to adult. The book cases go all the way up to the ceiling and down to the floor. Right now the top and bottom shelves are left unused and the books are tightly shelved, in no particular order, in 65 percent of the middle shelves. The other 35% of the middle shelves are at one end of the bookcases and left open for future acquisitions. We’d like volunteers to keep the system going once its set up so it needs to be simple to maintain. Does anyone know of a good online librarian forum that wouldn’t mind me asking?
