The virus requires very precise conditions to survive which are met in the blood of a living human body, and few other places. Outside of those precise conditions, the virus die quickly if the conditions are harsh, but take some time if the conditions are more tolerable. 2. Blood is present in nearly all bodily fluids, some more than others, and some less harsh than others. Semen happens to be a bodily fluid that is not very harsh. Saliva is a fluid that is very harsh too acidic. Piss is also very harsh. Tears are quite tolerable. 3. Sharing needles is but one very obvious way in which the virus can be transmitted because blood on the needle can be moved from one person to another so quickly that some of the virus cells do not die, being protected perhaps by a layer other cells around it that DO die. It is also a common method, because users are dead. But sharing needles is NOT the only way bodily fluids infected with the virus might be transferred where the conditions are tolerable enough for a few virus cells to survive. These are microbes, after all, with millions on a pinhead. 4. Even if a few of the living microbes enter your system, chances are that your normal immune system kill them. But every now and then, one manages to survive and multiply. Even then, its a game your immune system be overwhelmed? If you are weak from other causes, it is more likely that your immune system is comprimised and not up to the task. And that is when you become "infected". The reason a mouth swab can detect the virus is that your opening statement, and the BS from HIV+ people like "studpupy" and "u-retard", is false. They dont care because they already infected themselves and only want to convince more men to be just as stupid so they can have more sex. Risk is measured in terms of culmulative probability. Even a low risk behavior repeated over and over becomes a high risk. Play the odds and stay. Its bad enough that some of the risks are hidden from you. don't invite trouble.
