Seriously...it needs to be mowed and I really don't feel like doing it. And no, this is not a euphemism for something else. I'd totally provide you with beer, water, ice tea, lemonade etc. And when you're done if you want to help me clean off my grill I'll make you a steak, salad and a fabulous dessert!
Just so you know I'm a swf, homeowner ergo the lawn, educated, have a sense of humor, sweet etc. I would hope that you have the same qualities...well except you're a single man.=)

Because I'm passionate, I'll try again. I hear you and I want resolutions to each of your points as well. But we're in the here and now, stuck with not enough pie. Like generations before them, my paternal grandparents came here with next to nothing through Island and worked hard to make their dreams come true. That was before Social Security, before Medicare, before free walk-in services at a hospital. He raised, all with a strong work ethic, and all managed to survive The Great Depression and more than a few wars. Not all of them grew financially but every one of them contributed to society and taught their offspring to do the same. More than a few of today's expatriots enter any way they can, some carrying much different expectations, and their goal isn't always to stay and help build. It's a different world and not just for the reasons you mention. I personally believe we can break the cycle but it require hard work and access to fruitful employment. For now, along with others, I don't eat much pie.
