is idealized in the minds of some Americans. While I am very grateful for the access we have in Canada, there is a lot of room for improvement. In the far north in particular, it's getting harder to access proper health care. We're also spending a lot of money to fix people up when they've gotten so bad they REQUIRE intervention. You have to get sick enough to require care before it's covered. We could spend a lot less on making preventative care more accessible, and expanding health care coverage to include naturopathic doctors, counsellors, dieticians etc., as an investment in illness prevention, which is much cheaper in the run than illness treatment.
